A molinillo (moh-lee-nee-yoh) is a traditional Mexican wooden whisk, turned from a single piece of wood! The friction during turning creates the beautiful black designs, all of which are different to the next.
This ancient tool is dated back to the Aztecs.
The molinillo is held between the palms + rotated by rubbing the palms together; this rotation creates the froth in hot beverages such as cacao.
Our molinillos are sourced direct from the artisans who craft these in Mexico.
Each molinillo is unique + measures roughly 24cm long or 9-10".
A must have for any cacao enthusiast!!
